In the wonderful setting of the Slănic-Moldova resort, at the "Poiana Verde" Guesthouse, the second important national backgammon and backgammon tournament of the year, with direct participation, organized and sponsored by the Romanian Association, takes place between May 13 and 16 of Backgammon (ARB), in collaboration with the Romanian Table/Backgammon Federation (FRTBG) and the "Poiana Verde" Guesthouse.
About 50 players from Bucharest, Craiova, Constanța, Suceava, Urziceni, Târnăveni, Botoșani, Brașov, Iași, Ploiesti, Bacău, Onești, Târgu-Ocna.
The game categories and entry fees are as follows:
1. Bakgammon Open 9 points, 300 lei registration. Tournament system: Triple elimination – Ftbgsystem swis (all contestants play a minimum of three games on the main draw of the contest), 12 second move, 18 minute player/game.
Table Open 5 points, 200 lei registration. Tournament system: Triple elimination – Ftbgsystem swiss (all competitors play minimum three games), 12 second move, 10 minute player/game.
2. Backgammon Open 7 points, 100 lei registration, on a schedule of 32 registrations. Multiple entries are accepted for this type of contest, and 8 players enter the final stage: the semifinalists from the main draw and the semifinalists from the "Second chance" category.
3. Table Open 5 points, 100 lei entry, per chart of 32 entries. Multiple entries are also accepted for this contest, the format being the same as in the case of open 7-point backgammon.
4. Open Backgammon 7-point elimination warm-up tournament, 1st place prize being a new backgammon set and a clear dice set (for Thursday night attendees).
Distribution of prizes for tournaments no. 1, 2, 3 and 4: 85% of the proceeds, plus 4.000 lei from the "Poiana Verde" guesthouse. 1st places = 40% of the prize fund, plus 1.000 lei each; 2nd place = 20%; 3rd place = 10%; 4th place = 10%; 5th - 8th place, 5% each.
Competition schedule
Thursday, May 13, starting at 18.00, registrations. From 19.00 the first round of the Warm-up Tournament starts, followed by the Jackpots.
Friday, May 14, 09.00 - 10.00, last registrations for tournaments no. 1 and no. 2.
From 10.00, start in tournaments no. 1 and no. 2 table/backgammon Triple elimination, with alternating rounds.
On Saturday, May 15, from 10.00:22.00 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., the games continue, with the necessary breaks.
On Sunday, May 16, from 9.00:XNUMX a.m., the games continue until the end of the competition, with the necessary breaks and the awarding of the winners.
