The County Public Service for Tourism Promotion and Coordination of Mountain Rescue Activity in Bacău (SPJPTCAS) invites mountain and outdoor enthusiasts to a series of new hikes on the trails in the mountainous area of Bacău County this year.
In this regard, the Mountain Rescue Department within SPJPTCAS has drawn up a calendar of guided tours for 2025, on the mountain tourist routes in Bacău County, as follows::
1. May 21: Comănești-Șupan-Vf. Lapoș-Lăloaia-Comănești, lasting 8-9 hours;
2. June 18: Păltiniș-Aluniș Peak-Muncelu Peak-Bartea-Apa Asău, 6-7 hours;
3. June 28: Târgu-Ocna-Coșna Peak-Stefan cel Mare Monastery-Cerdac (Slănic-Moldova),
6-7 hours;
4. July 10: Slănic-Moldova-Pipaș Peak-Slănic-Moldova, 2-3 hours;
5. July 26: Moinești-Lake Tarnița-Moinești, 4-5 hours;
6. August 6: Slănic-Moldova-Nemira Mare Peak-Uzu Valley, 9-10 hours;
7. August 23: Târgu-Ocna-Măgura Peak-Masa Reginei-Poieni, 6-7 hours;
8. September 10: Moinești-Tarnița Peak-St. Elijah Hermitage-Plopu, 8-9 hours;
9. September 20: Lucăcești-Dealu Runcu-Piatra Crăpată-Zemeș, 6-7 hours.
Hiking in these mountains requires good general physical condition and adequate equipment (shoes with grippy soles, raincoat, backpack, water and food, etc.). Places are limited, and those who register must have the necessary mountain experience.
In case of inclement weather, the hike will be postponed to a later date. To date, in Bacău County there are thirty mountain trails marked and approved by SPJPTCAS Bacău and the local authorities in the mountainous area of the county.
