The peak narrows for a while, taking on the appearance of a ridge. We will stick to the forest marking (H) thus climbing easily to Bulimandru Peak (978 m), from wherewe will go down the steeper slope of on its eastern slope. From Bulimandru Peak we have possibility to admire the entire peak Berzunti to its highest peak, as well as some of its side legs.

We see the hermitage of St. Elijah in the saddle where we will descend. The hermitage is a monastery of St. Sava Monastery, located half an hour away from it if descends from the peak of the Berzunt Mountains towards left. We mention that there are accommodation facilities at the hermitage.

From Moinesti to here it took us about 4 hours, without stops. From the hermitage we head east, following the same forest marking of the boundary between the villages. Immediately As we leave the clearing where the hermitage is located, we emerge onto a bald ridge covered with older fellings, but on which still have a few old beech trees left. From there it heads south, to the summit of Plaiului Fagului, a forest boundary between two villages, and to the east, on the main ridge, another forest boundary between two more detours. We will stick to the latter, slowly descending on a wide tractor road. For an hour the road runs through the forest, strictly following the line of maximum altitude of the the peaks and the H's of the forest boundary. We thus arrive in a clearing where we meet a road forest road that crosses the peak from one slope to the other, connecting the localities of Larga and Berzunți. The country road is still, on a section,
a good cart road, easy then
to follow, always orienting ourselves by the marking the forest line. We pass a peak wooded, the cart road falling slightly down the slope south of the peak and overlooking about 10 minutes from the forest marker, to a saddle, at the edge of of an old cut. Until here the plantation will become a forest, they will still own the place, still for a long time, to the delight of hikers, strawberry bushes and raspberry bushes! The cart road is not From here the forest boundary follows, we but yes, on a path that faithfully follows the line We climb a first peak, from 750 m to 850 m, quite steep, which we descend, to then begin the long and tiring climb (compared to the rest of the road) of the highest peak, Măgura Berzunților, 984 m. From the clearing crossed by the Larga forest road – Berzunți, up to the saddle in front three quarters of the way up to the Berzunților Hill hour. We'll need another half hour. hour to reach the maximum altitude of the route, point marked by a cement dot and located at the southern end of the ridge, quasi-horizontal on the last 10 minutes passed. From this point we descend on the path on the left, accompanying The H's of the forest boundary. After 10-15 minutes of steep descent we catch a cart road which, on a gentler slope, it will soon out of the forest; before leaving it we notice forest boundary I 103 and the last H's. The road has a gentle ascent to a peak covered in hay, but he avoids it, heading towards to the southeast. We will climb to the top, strictly following south direction. We descend gently, bypassing a blind descent of the Valleys, located on our left. The balance of waters between the Valleys (in left) and Nicoliță's stream (to the right), it's good individualized and will lead us to the edge of the forest. A cart road descends to the left, towards Valea Vâlcele; we choose to remain We quickly leave the forest, emerging into acut, from where you will have to we overcome a first peak. We can do it either directly, keeping on the line of maximum altitude, either bypassing it on a path that descends to the right on a shoulder of the hill, to a sheep path, which also comes from the right. We go on it to the left, we cross a stream with the cut and we reach the ridge line again. Circumnavigating the peak It takes 15 minutes. Then the road descends smoothly through the forest, skirts a new peak on the right, and then another one, on the left, on sheep paths. The steep slope and unstable ground make it quite difficult to cross the last peak, which only takes us a quarter of an hour. Next comes the crossing of Oușor (695 m). From the saddle where we arrived, go down to the left and towards right wide sheep paths towards the Vâlcele Valley and towards the Pârâul Nicoliță's. We climb a little to at the edge of the forest, we go around a pile of sandstone cliffs and we emerge above them, on a clearing ridge. The cross-path of Oușor enters forest on the left slope of The hill. It will again be a steep area with unstable ground.

After 15 minutes we are beyond the peak, in a new saddle. We climb a gentle slope, for 10 minutes, to a peak
from where it opens wide
view in all directions. Dominating, from beyond the Nicoliță Stream, is Ursoaia Hill (866 m), in the body of which several caves are (naturally) dug. The largest, the Ursoaia Cellar, It is about 50 meters long. We descend substantially as difference in level, but slight, at started among dwarf alders, then next to the lots agricultural fields, up to a wide saddle, crossed by a cart road connecting the village of Cucuieți to the village of Vâlcele. (only 150 meters away, towards right, on the road to Cucuieți, we will be able to find a spring caught in a bush.) Moving forward, among several fenced vineyards, we climb steadily to the edge of the forest that covers the Hill Momaia. The road goes through the forest, on a steep slope, leaving the peak on the left Momaiei, to climb, for 20 minutes, to the top of the mountain Codrului Hill. We are on a wide plateau, covered with meadows. A road leads to the Hill The dragon, whose back is like a The boar (hogback, called by geographers) rises to the south; another road branches off to the east. From the Codrului Hill plateau we head directly towards Mr. Devil. Just before we start to climb it, we cross a former oil road that comes from the right, from Cucuieți and descends to the left, to a disused well. We climb up Drăcoaia, on a slope that imposes itself on us a moderate effort. The path strictly follows the narrow ridge, when climbing the rocks of sandstones protruding from the path, when bypassing them. From the top the descent is quite steep, but without problems, the rocks between which we slip, balancing our steps. Towards the end of the slope, when it already seems too steep to be able to continue continue, the path on it suddenly changes direction to the left, leaving it to sneak through the little forest pine trees, up to the few houses of Păcuri hamlet (older, Păcurița village), slopes of Poieni village (formerly Mosoare), considered today a neighborhood of the city of Tg. Ocna. To On the right we see the bridge over Trotuș, on the other the railway with the Cireșoaia stop (more recently, only stopping point) and the Tg. Ocna – Comănești.
