Around June 20, in the village of Poiana Sarata (Com. Oituz, 15 km from Onesti and 70 km from Bacau) the traditional Mocan festival "Sântilia de la Poiana Sarata" takes place. Another celebration that takes root is "Nedeia de la Padurareni", a rural celebration organized in Solonţ commune (50 km from Bacau and 30 km from Comanesti) in the second half of May.
