Route description: We start the route at the entrance to the alley of mineral springs, after which we cross a bridge over the Slănic river and start to climb the northern slopes of Dobru mountain on the arranged steps.
The path climbs in small serpentines through the mixed forest, in which conifers predominate, and after the steps end, we reach a small exposed rocky spur, from where we have visibility towards the main peak of the Nemira Mountains.
About 45 min. from the start, we exceed the maximum elevation of the route (795 m) on the Dobru mountain and descend gently into the saddle following the western side of the peak. After another 10 min. the path leaves the summit, at first following the level curve, after which it descends to the right to the beautiful meadow of Căprioara, at the end of which we cross the Slănic stream on a recently renovated metal bridge.
From Poiana Căprioarei to the starting point where we close the circuit, there are 2,5 km that we cover as follows: on the road until the confluence of Slănicel and Slănicul and then past the waterfall and the Slănicul gorges.

Use Valley

Slănic Moldova – Valea Uzului

Travel time: 9 – 10 hours. Departure/arrival altitude: 576 m/544 m.  Maximum Altitude: 1615 metres.  Level difference: +1966 m. Route length: 30 km.

Difficulty: Difficult. Requires season-appropriate gear and good physical condition. Seasonality: not recommended in winter.

Route description: The route crosses the main peak of the Nemira Mountains over Şandru Mare, from east to west, from the Slănicului Valley to the Uzului Valley. The blue tape marking starts in front of the former campsite, from where we turn right on a road that climbs gently for about 50 m, after which we enter the path that crosses a ravine and continues up the eastern slopes of Căprioara Hill.
The path goes around the peak of Nemira Mică (1.627 m) to the west, and after a slight descent we reach Saua Nemirei
(1.440 m). From the peak of Nemira Mare (1.649 m) we descend back on our path marked with a blue tape, on which we still have approx. 4 hours to Valea Uzului.
After an hour we reach the peak of Farcu Mare (1.498 m) from where we admire the impressive view of the Poiana Uzului reservoir. We reach DJ 123, which we walk approx. 400 m and we arrive at the bridge over the Uz river, close to the tail of the Poiana Uzului reservoir.

Saddle of Anxiety

Difficulty: Route of medium difficulty. Requires season-appropriate gear and good physical condition. Seasonality: Not recommended in winter.

Route description: At the confluence of Slănic with the Pufu stream, we follow the forest road on its valley for about 3 km. From its end we take a path that follows the stream line and at the end climbs a ridge on the right side through a dense spruce forest. We intersect the forest road that descends into the valley of Dofteana and after crossing it we enter the forest and climb the foot of the mountain towards the peak of La Cireș.
At approx. After an hour's drive through the forest, we reach Vârful La Cireș (1 m), at the geodesic pyramid. The peak is covered by forest and around we discover traces of the war, trenches or cannon emplacements. The route changes its direction to the south for approx. 1.063 m through the sparse forest and then descends to the right, into Dofteani Valley. We will follow the forest road to the Șiganca stream. The path goes up the slope along the left bank of the stream and in approx. 200 min. we go out on the main peak of the mountains, in Șaua Nemirei (50 m) where we cross the route marked with a blue tape.
The Gate of the Winds, as the area is called by the people of these places, separates the peak of Nemira Mică (1.627 m) in the south from the peak of Nemira Mare (1.649 m) in the north.

Vârful Nemira Mare – Plaiul Ciungetului

Route description: The route connects the ridge route marked with a blue band and the highway that crosses the secondary peaks marked with a yellow band.
The route descends on a path right from Nemira Mare and following the secondary summit of Plaiul Ciungetului intersects with the route coming from Argintarie and descends on the summit towards Bălătău Lake.

Route description: The route starts in the Dobru valley and after approx. 300 m along the road, after a bridge, we turn sharply to the left and begin the climb through a beautiful beech and spruce forest. The path is wide, the slope is quite smooth, the marking is very visible, which makes the route accessible to any visitor of the spa resort Slănic-Moldova. Once we reach the plateau, a superb panorama of the resort opens up. We fill our lungs with fresh air, rest on the benches inspired by the plateau, enjoying the beauty of these blessed places.

Salatruc

Slănic Moldova – Sălătruc

Difficulty: Difficult route. Requires season-appropriate gear and good physical condition. Seasonality: not recommended in winter.

Route description: The route connects Slănic Moldova and Sălătruc, crossing the secondary peaks that form to the east from the main peak, as well as the valleys between them. They are crossed perpendicularly, in order: Pufu Mountain, Dofteani Valley, Cleja Mountain, Ciungetului Valley and Izvorul Negru Stream.
The route starts from the opposite side of the entrance to the "300 stairs" route. After about an hour's walk, we go around Pufu Peak (1.047 m) and suddenly change direction, descend to the west, pass the forestry canton and exit at the bridge over the Dofteana river, in Poiana La Sălărie (610 m).
We continue our route climbing on the leg on the right side. After about an hour we reach the top of Mount Cleja and continue our way down to the northwest to take the forest road on the bank of the Ciunget stream, from where we engage in the serpentines that take us uphill on the southern slopes of the Ciunget Peak, and at its bend, next to a footbridge, we leave it to follow a path that takes us to the heights in approx. 10 minutes
We follow the path from Plaiul Ciungetului in the northeast direction. After about 2 hours, the marker suddenly descends from the peaks to the west in the Izvorul Negru valley. The path descends an inclined slope, among rock blocks in the forest, passes by a pond and takes us to the forest road from Izvorul Negru, near Bălătău lake.
Until the center of Sălătruc village we have approx. 1 hour walk on a forest road.

Difficulty: Easy route. Requires season-appropriate gear. Seasonality: Accessible in all seasons.

Route description: The route starts from the base of the Nemira ski slope, climbs smoothly on the left side of the slope to its upper part. From here, after a short break, in which we admire the superb panorama with the surrounding mountains, we continue our route through the forest, following the blue triangle marker. The forest is a mixture of beech and spruce, and if we proceed quietly we may have a chance to see deer, squirrels or even stags. Not long after, we reach the highest point on the trail, located in a saddle that separates Cerbulu Peak from the eastern peaks.
We are at an altitude of 795 m and from here we descend towards Valea Dobru, in the same beautiful and wild forest. The descent is not steep, but we must pay attention to the markings. After exiting Valea Dobru, we only have a few hundred meters to the resort's central park.
We recommend the route to all tourists arriving in Slănic-Moldova.

Slănic Moldova – Hârja

Difficulty: Easy trail. Seasonality: Accessible in all seasons.

Route description: The route starts from the central park of the Slănic Moldova resort on the Dobru valley and after approx. After 200 m on the road, after a bridge we turn sharply to the left and begin the climb through a beautiful beech and spruce forest. After about 1,5 hours we reach the highest point of the route (839m) where we find an oil well. We follow the road that descends from the well for a few tens of meters and suddenly we enter a path to the right. The arrival point is in the village of Hârja, on DN 11.

Slanic Moldova – Pipaș Peak

Route description: The route starts right at the entrance to Slănic Moldova, passes through a few houses and begins the climb through the forest towards Pipaș Peak. After about an hour we reach the top, from where we walk a few more minutes to the top of a rocky area from where we can see a superb panorama of the Slănic valley and Bolovanul mountain. In the area there is a cliff with several routes set up for climbing.
